Funeral Pyre

It was dark on the docks, the moonlight reflecting off the water. It was peaceful hearing the water lap against the stone of the buildings. She was supposed to be back at camp, setting up for their next mission, but she needed time. Time to be alone, to just… to properly mourn. So here she was sitting on the ramp of the dock, letting the water inch its way up her feet. She had done this a few times at Kinloch Hold, just sitting and watching the water.
