Teen Wolf themed Triskelion pendants. 8 & 9 of 13 - Stiles & Derek.
100% handmade by me, no molds or stamps used. They are made of metallic polymer clay and Swarovski ziconias. One of a kind, only one copy of each design. They have inscriptions on the back side, but not: “Trust your instinct” or “Never love a wild thing” like on the other pendants of the series. I chose two quotes by Lord Byron that I thought would be matching. “There is no instinct like that of the heart.” is on the Derek’s one and “Love will find a way through paths where wolves fear to prey” on Stiles’ one. I think that is something that Stiles would wrote on the pendants if he would be the one making them :>. Also the there is a triskelion on the Stiles’ pendant but the main sign is a pentacle - a design believed to magnify powers of the wearer - so it would empower Stiles’ spark, would it not? If you like them they are on my etsy along with more photos and information ^^.
Do you work with clay using only your hands or do you use any instruments? Does "metallic" mean only the color and glitter, or does it kinda feel like metall after hardening?
I use mostly hands, but I have some help of course ^^. With those I used pasta machine because they have to have three even layers, but that's a quite new addition - I used to use old deodorant can to make flat sheets of clay XD. I also used a knife and a needle.
Metallic clay is just clay (not Art Clay - that is a brand of material, a metal particles mixed with the paper mache but it's something different). I use Fimo Effect for metallic colours, it's really full of very fine glitter nad the clay itself is half transculent so after backing the effect is really nice. I use this kind of clay a lot, you can see more of it if you browse through my gallery. Here is a nice example: [link] it's a real pain to make good photo of the finished piece thou >.<. I even use the metallic clay mixed with normal coloured for faces and such, because I really like the three demensional effect . Example: [link][link]
