Roses of Par Vollen

Description

I prepared this pendant with golden symbol of the Qunari House of the Tides as a base for my Arishok sculpture, but it came out so good that I decided not to cover it and came up with something different. The whole front side is made to resemble brushed metal. The back is uneven like a shield that protected its owner from some life-threatening blows. The inscription on the back says:

"Struggle is an illusion.
The tide rises, the tide falls,
but the sea is changeless.
There is nothing to struggle against.
Victory is in the Qun."

The pendant and the earrings are adorned with white roses made of mother-of-pearl polymer clay. The green wines are partly transparent to give them even more fragile look, especially against thick metallic symbol.

Par Vollen is an island home of the Qunari. It is a tropical island chain, which is covered mostly by rainforest. I find the wild greenery and the strict rules of the Qun a interesting contradiction. I wanted to show the roses that are wild even if they are growing within the limits specified by the symbol, just like different people, sometimes full of passion and emotions can live within the bounds of the Qunari teachings.

If you like unconventional jewelry this for sure can be a conversation starter :). If you liked Arishok, Tallis or Sten, or if you think the Qunari should have their voice in the mage-templar war that will spread on Thedas, that is something for you!

The set is made of polymer clay. The pendant is 75x75 mm and 7 mm thick. The earrings are 40x40 mm. All metal part are silver-coated.
the set is handmade and one of a kind! :)

Grab it on etsy! [link] ^^
