Anyone who saw my deviantart gallery knows that I am a fan of Bioware games. I am one of those who love the Mass Effect series but hate the ending (or the lack of). There is so much said already on the internet that I don't want to repeat all that. I vented in my deviantart journal already. Enough of that. All I am gonna say:

I had amazing 4 days playing Mass Effect 3. I am on the border of depression ever since. How, why, it does not matter in the long run.

Right, about the bracelet. I forced myslef to actually DO something else that stalking BSN forums and facebook page of "RetakeME3" movement. What I wanted to express by this piece is the love of the series and hope that we - the Retakers - will achieve something. And making it actually helped me to feel better.

I am proud to be a Retaker. This is nearly a therapy group. Expressing myslef and listening to others really is helping me. I know that I am not just one freak sad because of the pixels, but lots of people share my emotions. Even the negative emotions can be transfered into something good, the ChildsPlay donations from us are a proof of that. I also wanted to use my sadness to create something.

Bracelet is made of precolored polymer clay with a wooden core. It's based on the Commander Shepard armor. I wanted it to be damaged and to make the impression of coming straight from a battle, to show that even tired and wounded - we cannot give up. Hence scratches and dirt. (Or maybe it's dryed blood?) I also wanted to use different patterns, the base of the bracelet looks a like his/her armor, the N7 letters are brushed so they look like metal, the red and white stripes on the back are smooth.
The bracelet is 4cm high.

This bracelet is made by hand (I spent nearly 8 hours making it) and without use of any molds. This is the only copy, thou I like the idea of it, so probably I will make a couple of bracelets in this style in the future. And for sure I will leave one for myslef to have something that would remind me of this moment.

The Mass Effect story (let's not talk about the ending >.<) is about sacrifice and unity. I think the Retakers are making this ideas come alive with helping each other and the children. No matter how it ends, we - united - are creating history.
Until then - HOLD THE LINE!

N7 and the whole amazing Mass Effect universe that moved so many people - belongs to Bioware.

If you want to buy it, it's in my etsy shop: [link]
If it will sell, 10% of the money from this auction will go to ChildsPlay donation. The rest I am going to spend on more clay to selfmedicate with creating. >.<

EDIT: Whoa! Sold! I will try to make more, will post info on my FB page [link] :) Thank you!

EDIT2: I just chipped in to Child's Play and feel a little better! :) [link]

I have to ask because I just started using poly clay a little while ago, how do you get your lines so perfect?
I love your poly pieces, they look so...amazing.

Thank you so much! Well, I assume you are talking about N7 logo? I use sharp knife, nothing special ^^. Depending on how soft your brand of clay is, might help to let it lay for some hours after making a sheet, before you start to cut it, so it would not be squishy. If you don't want to wait, just put your clay in a freezer for couple of minutes, but not too long because then clay can crumble. You have to try it with your clay to be sure what will work the best for you.

I use Fimo and I usually leave the pieces of clay uncovered overnight so they are dryer and a little less soft when I work on them. It's all just personal preference :).

Hope it helps! :)
